TARA JOAN HURLEY
February 25, 1935 ~ March 24, 2018
"Tara was a strong woman who overcame
many obstacles in her life with great courage."
Tara Joan Hurley, 83, entered the gates of Heaven, surrounded by her family, on March 24, 2018. She was born in Ogden, UT to Arthur and Goldie Tobias and grew up in Utah until moving to Washington in 1966.
Tara gave countless hours to American Legion and 8/40 clubs serving as Auxiliary President from 1985-1986 and Auxiliary President for district 5 in 1991.
Her love for her family, flowers, dogs, dancing, and Portland wrestling will live on in all our hearts.
She was a beloved wife and a loving mother,
grandma and great-grandma.
Tara is survived by her husband, Roger Hurley; her daughters and their spouses, Wanda, Terry Mackmer, Taryn and Allen Trenda, Theresa and Gary Willard; her son, Tom Hurley; 7 grandchildren, Dawn, Tara, JaSeth, Travis, Zack, Josh and Jared; and 10 great-grandchildren,
She was preceded in death by her son, Douglas Winfred Gleave.
Celebration for Life service will be held on Sun., April 8th at 3p.m., at Faith Center Church, 10702 NE 117th Ave., Vancouver, WA 98662.
