STEVEN ROBERT MYERS
December 26, 1959 ~ May 19, 2018
Steven R. Myers, age 58, passed away May 19, 2018 after a long and courageous battle with cancer. His daily motto was "Never give up!"
Steve was born Dec. 26, 1959, in Portland, OR. He was the first born of two and resided the majority of his life in Vancouver, WA where he was a Columbia River High School Graduate, class of 1978.
Shortly thereafter, Steve enlisted in the Air Force and served for over ten years, stationed in Tacoma, Sacramento and South Korea.
After a stint at the post office, Steve enjoyed doing long haul car hauling with his cousin Keith, whom he became very close to.
He was an avid pool player and enjoyed competing and winning with his teammates. Steve was extremely competitive and totally focused on the game. He loved sports, all sports. Mostly football, basketball and MMA. He was a dedicated Seahawks, Huskies and Trailblazer fan and could usually be found in team attire.
His pride and joy were his nieces. Steve was so proud of all their achievements, particularly their pursuit in their chosen college career paths.
Steve is survived by his parents, Harold and Barbara Myers of Vancouver, WA; his sister, Lisa Lidorikiotis of Silver Lake, WA; nieces, Melissa Lidorikiotis of Kelso, WA and Demi Lidorikiotis of Seattle, WA; and his beloved fur baby, Rocky.
He was preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Gregory Lidorikiotis.
The family is extremely grateful for the loving support, shown by the hospice staff of the Community Living Center at the Vancouver, VA.
No Memorial Services are planned at this time.
