RUSSELL HAROLD EAGER
September 30, 1920 ~ April 6, 2018
Russell Harold Eager, born September 30, 1920 to Ida (Oman) Eager and Dorman Eager in Nasselle, Washington. He was the eldest of six children: brother, Dorman (deceased), brother, Oscar (93), brother, Glenn (deceased), sister, Gloria (85), brother, Byron (82). Russell graduated from Ilwaco High School, Illwaco, Washington in 1939.
He joined the Army Air Force in 1941, served in India, Burma as Crew Chief on B-24 Bombers.
Retuned home in 1944 and married Helen in 1946. They were married 60 glorious years.
Russell was a proud member of the teamsters union all of his adult life. He was a member in good standing of the Raymond Elks lodge for 72 years.
Russell excelled in the sales field, selling Synthetic Oil and Vitamins for many years.
Russell was a step-father, brother and best friend to his son, Ron.
Russell loved to fish for trout and steelhead. He loved his garden.
Russell and wife Helen "Becky" traveled a lot over the years, to Canada, California, and many western states.
Russell passed quietly at the Ray Hickey Hospice House on Friday, April 6th, 2018.
There will be a Celebration of Life for Russell on April 21st, 2018 between 1 and 4 p.m. at the school in Chinook, Washington. Food and refreshments will be served.

The Curtin Family was very fond of Russell and if Mom and Dad were here, they would want us to be sure to send their/our condolences to Becky and all the Kuhnhausen family. From the neighbors of long ago, Rest in Peace!

Uncle Russell was a sweet & kind man. He always greeted us with a smile and asked how we were doing. Rand has fond memories of going fishing as a boy with his dad & Uncle Russell. All of our memories of Russell are filled with love and we will miss him greatly.
