August 24, 1948 ˜ December 23, 2019

Ron Hamilton of Vancouver, WA, passed peacefully on Dec. 23, 2019, surrounded by his family and friends. He was born in Berkeley, CA, and grew up in nearby Danville, CA.
Ron met the love of his life in the summer of 1972 at Crater Lake; he and Robin Coon married just months later Nov. 4, 1972.
Ron graduated from Oregon Technical Institute and San Jose State University and went on to work for 29 years as a National Accounts Underwriter for Standard Insurance Company, retiring in 2006.
He was a dedicated volunteer of 28 years for the Stepping Stones program through PeaceHealth Hospice, helping grieving children after the loss of a loved one. In his free time, he enjoyed tending his yard, daily trips to the gym, traveling to Hawaii, calling everyone ”Bubba” and snuggling with his kitty, Wikie.
Ron is survived by his wife, Robin Hamilton; and daughter and son-in-law, Maggie and Patrick Julian.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Mollie Hamilton; sister, Sue Renz; and his parents, William and Helen Hamilton.
