"With love and deep sadness,
we wish you endless racing and road trips."

We lost Bob suddenly on the evening of Dec. 10, 2016 at Legacy Salmon Creek Hospital in Vancouver, WA, due to complications of pneumonia and stage-4 lung cancer. He was born June 6, 1942 to Walter and Velma (Dickson) Lindauer in Randall, WA where he grew up. As a young boy, Bob fostered a bear cub until the cub reached 6 months old and was returned to the woods. After high school graduation, he attended 4 years of college.
Bob traveled the world through his job as a machine fabricator for Machine Products of Portland, OR, overseeing industrial bakery equipment.
Bob was logical, realistic, and private,
with a shoulder shaking, laughable sense of humor.
His enjoyment came from auto and motorcycle racing in his younger years. Bob also loved scenic road trips with his wife, Debbie and digging clams at Long Beach, WA. He could build anything out of wood and his woodworking talent was seen inside and outside of his home, stopping passersby.
Bob is survived by his wife, Debbie; sister, Joann and Norman Belknap; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Lori and Doug Ruge; mother-in-law, Bettye Cline; and special friends, Bruce and Grace Knable and Don and Toni Kapitonivitch.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
At Bob's request, no public service will be held. His ashes will be scattered at a special location.
