A man is known by the company he keeps. A true renaissance man, Bob was always up for a rousing debate…on any topic. He encouraged and valued civil discourse. Bob was an affable man; easily liked. The diversity and quality of the people he considered friends is a testament to how he lived his life. Whether performing on stage or telling jokes (complete with character voices) he just had a way of making people laugh.
He worked in the title insurance industry for 30 years, moved to the land development side of the real estate industry and most recently worked for Erickson-Phillips Attorneys at Law...and could make a bureaucrat cry.
Bob is survived by his wife Ava of 17 years. True to his character he insisted no service to be planned. Perhaps a trait of his dour Scottish heritage, he just didn't want all the emotional bother involved in mourning his death. However, his somewhat contrary redheaded wife will plan an informal reception in late March to raise a glass to remember a man who had a life well lived, and who was well loved. Northwood Park Cemetery is in charge of cremation.
