July 5, 1928 ~ March 8, 2015

Longtime resident of Vancouver, WA, Ramona F. Russum, 86, left us in sunny California, to be with our Lord. She was the 2nd of 6 children born to Effie and Malvin Gaither in Hammond, OK. Ramona moved to Vancouver as a child and graduated from Ft. Vancouver High School and Clark Community College.
She married Richard E. Russum in 1948 and they were married 50 years before his passing in 1998.
Ramona retired from the Vancouver School District. She was an active member of Vancouver First Church of God.
Ramona is survived by her children: Ramona Martin, Donna Michaelis (Steve), Richard L. Russum (Kris), Debra Jimenez (Carlos), and James Musgrave; 22 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; and siblings, Malvin Ray Gaither (Rose), Dixie Ruth Hongel, C.G. Gaither (Dola) and Otto Gaither (Lois); many beloved nieces, nephews and cousins; and many friends from church.
She was preceded in death by her son, Ralph Russum; grandson, Steven; and her sister, Yvonne Gaither.
A memorial service is planned at First Church of God on Sat., March 28, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. followed by a reception.

Cami and I were so very sorry to hear about Ramona.Thank you for sharing her with Jimmy. It meant a lot to him; as did her kindness to Cami and me when we lost him. Cami and I know there is nothing that can replace what the family has lost. Just know you have our most heart felt sympathy.
