January 26, 1946 - January 24, 2011

Peter Franklin Morse of Vancouver, WA, passed away on January 24, 2011. He was born January 26, 1946 in Spokane, WA to Bob and Mary Jane Morse.
Pete received his Bachelor of Business Administration in 1969 from Gonzaga University in Spokane, WA and continued on to earn his MBA from Gonzaga in 1977.
He was employed at Glacier NW, a CalPortland Company in sales for the cement division covering the Pacific Northwest, Alaska, and Canada.
Pete loved to play golf, always with his favorite cigar. He spent many hours fishing with his sons and grandchildren on the Columbia River and on the many lakes in the surrounding area. He especially enjoyed our summers at Sun Lakes Resort with his kids and grandchildren. He also was a regular visitor to Pomeroy, WA every October for opening weekend of hunting season stalking that elusive buck and pheasant. In later years, his son, Jason, became his hunting partner scouring the hillsides. Eric, his oldest son, acquired Pete's love of golf and they spent many hours on the links. And, Emily was his traveling companion on many business trips with her dad and mom. Ever the drama queen she kept her dad on his toes!
Peter is survived by his wife, Kathy, of 42 years; three children, Eric and wife, Julie of Owings Mills, Maryland, Jason and his wife, Teal of Covington, WA, and Emily and her husband, Seth Hooper of Bonney Lake, WA; his mother, Mary Jane Morse of Moses Lake, WA; sisters, Rose Short of Everett, WA, and Mary Shannon of Moses Lake, WA; and a brother, David of Spokane, WA; he is PAPA to six beautiful grandchildren, Nathan 9, Evelyn 7, Cody 5, Amanda 4, Troy 4, and little Hailey 18 months.
Pete was extremely proud of his children and grandchildren,
enjoying each and every wonderful and exciting accomplishment.
He was preceded in death by his father, Bob; and younger brother, Mike.
Funeral services will be held Friday, January 28, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 400 S. Andresen Rd., Vancouver, WA 99661.
In lieu of flowers, Pete requests contributions be made to St. Vincent de Paul Society, 2456 Stapleton Rd., Vancouver, WA 9866l.
