PETER "PETE" ANDERSON
July 31, 1939 ~ August 6, 2015

Peter A. Anderson was born on July 31, 1939, in Hempstead, New York to Walter Anderson and Catherine (Byrne) Anderson, an Irish immigrant. He passed away peacefully at home in Vancouver, Washington on August 6, 2015.
Pete's lifelong work as a disability rights advocate, photographer, and peace and social justice activist, touched and made a difference in the lives of many.
Pete is survived by his wife, Mary; his sister, Catherine Avery; his faithful companion dogs, Cara and Noble Einstein; and many other family members and friends who loved and appreciated him.
Pete was preceded in death by his parents; and beloved aunts, Betty and Mary.
Private burial will be in the White Eagle Memorial Preserve in Goldendale, Washington.

Pete was an enthusiastic life long learner. I met him nearly 20 years ago when he took a class of mine excited about the possibilities of the Internet as it evolved into a populist tool. He cared about his community and made positive contributions to it. Positive vibrations and highest regards for all who miss him now.
