PEARL "PEGGY" J. (SNEAD) SATER
May 17, 1925 ~ June 8, 2015

Peggy Sater, 90, of Vancouver WA, passed away June 8, 2015 with her family at her side. Peggy was a graduate of Ridgefield High School in 1941 at the age of 16.
A member of the greatest generation, Peggy answered the call for duty by going to work at the Kaiser Shipyards in Vancouver, WA during WWII where she contributed to the building of 50 escort aircraft carriers in four years. This was a very exciting time in Peggy's life. After the war, Peggy met the love of her life, Neil H. Sater on New Year's Eve 1945. They were married on December 21, 1946.
While she spent much of her life as a home maker, she also loved working alongside of her husband who was the track photographer at Portland Meadows race track.
Peggy loved gardening, playing golf, and enjoyed trips to Reno, Lake Tahoe, Sunriver, and the Oregon Coast with her family and friends.
She was always humble and kind to anyone she met. She was the product of a great family and a true example of a great Christian woman.
Peggy was a world of wisdom and knowledge and had a remarkable memory right to the end of her days.
She will truly be missed
by everyone who knew her.
Peggy is survived by her son, Gary Sater of Vancouver, WA; daughters, Shelley Arnold of Bend OR and Sandy Sater of Vancouver WA; Kris Sater, the mother of her grandsons, Neil Sater and Michael Sater of Camas, WA; and sons-in-law, Michael Stevens and Jack Arnold.
A graveside service will be at 10:00 a.m., June 19th at Evergreen Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, contribution can be made to Humane Society for Southwest Washington, www.southwesthumane.org
