Karen and I first met the Leaf family in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. There we became very close and got to know them very well. Patti was a most dedicated mother and loving wife and friends to all. Her ever smiling face still is impregnated in my mind. She was relentless in her volunteering at the ISKL school for her boys and all the kids.

The Leaf family can rest assured that Patti is now pain free in our Lord’s hands. May God bless your family for strength through this time and forevermore remembering the great woman that was Ms Patti.

Everyone leaves footprints in your memory, but the ones who leave footprints in your heart are the ones that you will truly remember.

I am so glad I had the fortunate luck of meeting Patti in the 9th grade and through high school she was so kind, sweet, caring and loving person who loved Billy Preston's music when none of us even knew who he was. Every time over these 40 years I would hear his music I always smiled think of her. Now this music will be even more precious when I hear it!!!

Dear Gary, Michael, Christopher & the Wastradowski Family,

I am so devastated to hear of Patti's passing. I met her in the 9th grade when she transferred to Shumway Junior high. We made friends quickly and have always stayed in touch (except for when I lost her briefly with your move to Vietnam.) We were very close in high school & were roommates our freshman year at WSU. I have many fun memories of Patti during this time. Patti transferred to University of Portland and got her BA in History. I met Gary when we were in high school & liked him immediately. Patti and Gary were a good match- quiet, kind and very smart. He attended WSU with us. I was honored to be a bridesmaid in your wedding. In spite of your move to Texas, Patti and I stayed in touch. I loved her Texas drawl. We had our children at about the same time. In spite of our busy lives, we stayed in touch with phone calls, letters and cards...the old fashioned way.

Patti was a beautiful person inside and out. She was private - but very smart, caring, open minded and loving. She was always so proud of her sons and Gary. I was proud when she received her Master in Accounting. She loved her parents, siblings & their families very much. I am sure she has friends around the world. Patti and I were able to support each other during difficult times. When we connected, it was just like we talked yesterday. I consider Patti Anne, my pet name for her, one of my best friends ever. Many people admired & loved Patti and will be so sorry to hear of her passing. I can't thank her enough for her friendship. I will miss her greatly. Gary, I hope we can stay in touch somehow. I am so sorry for all of your loss.

Blessings and love to you all!

Gary Michael, and Christopher
I’m deeply sorry for your loss. Patti and I went to school from 1st grade all through high school and a friendship forever. When we were in grade school we believed she was going to become a nun because of her care for all. When learning of her missionary trip it was not surprising at all. When FB first started truly she was the best reconnection of all. Was fortunate enough to get to have coffee(Tea in her case) but conversations about past and future when she was in Vancouver. So much more but Patti was loved by many and will definitely be missed
