OLIVER KESSINGER
February 1, 1941 ~ July 18, 2016

Oliver Kessinger died July 18, 2016 at the age of 75. He was born February 1, 1941 in Poplar Bluff, Missouri to Oliver and Georgia Kessinger.
He was diagnosed with Mesothelioma in December 2015 and fought a valiant battle. Ollie passed into the arms of his Lord and Savior at his Battle Ground home, surrounded by loving family members.
At one and one half years old, Ollie and his older brother, Charles and his parents moved to Clark County.
In 1960, shortly after Ollie graduated from Ridgefield High School he joined the United States Army and proudly served three years for his country.
Ollie was a Deputy Sheriff with Clark County for 25 years, again serving his community.
Other jobs he held were with Alcoa Aluminum and Campbell Pet Company.
He is survived by Shirley, his loving wife of 35 years; daughters Kristi (Pete) Isensee of Bellevue, WA, Kammi (Don) Stewart of Ponder, TX, sons Adam (Denise) Samborski of Clarksville, TN and Stan (Kathryn) Samborski of Washougal; 12 grandchildren and five great grandchildren; brother Charles of Battle Ground and Ollie's former wife Gail Osborne. Also his companion dogs Schatzy and Baxter.
Ollie was preceded in death by his parents.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the Battle Ground Community United Methodist Church, 10300 NE 199th St., Battle Ground, WA on Saturday, July 23, 2016 at 1p.m.
Donations may be made to Kaiser Hospice or The American Center Society.
