"Oliver was dearly loved by family and friends."

Oliver E. Schiermeister of Battle Ground, WA, passed away on March 3, 2011. He was born in Bowdle, SD on May 26, 1932 to Gottlieb and Matilda Schiermeister.
Oliver served several years in the U.S. Army.
He was a master of many trades: felled timber, road construction, trucking, and building. He enjoyed woodworking as a hobby.
Oliver is survived by his wife of 55 years, Barbara; son, Dallas; daughter, Misty; and brothers, Ellsworth and Lloyd.
He was preceded in death by his son, Cole; brother, Marvin; and his sister, Renada.
A viewing will be held at Layne's Funeral Home, 16 NE Clark Ave. in Battle Ground, Wed., March 9 from 6:30-8:30 p.m. and Thurs. from 9:30-10:30 a.m. with the burial to be held at 11:00 a.m. Services will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Thurs., March 10 at the Battle Ground Community Center, 912 E Main.
