NORMAN "NORM" RICHARD MADDOX
February 10, 1926 ~ February 26, 2011

Norman Richard Maddox, 85, of Prosser, WA passed from his beloved family on Saturday, February 26th, 2011 in Yakima, WA after a long and courageous battle with Leukemia. He was born in Napa, CA on February 10, 1926 to Edward (Ted) and Helen Maddox, and moved to Clark County as a young boy. Norm graduated from Battle Ground High School with the class of '44 and later graduated from Washington State College in 1952.
He served in the U.S. Navy from 1944-1947, aboard several supply ships as a member of the armed guard gun crews, mostly in the Pacific Theater.
Norm was a kind, gentle, generous, and hardworking man
with a great sense of humor who will be deeply and
forever missed by his large family and friends.
Norm is survived by his children, Jeff of Prosser, Jody and wife, Debbie of Paterson, WA, Kerry and husband Paul of Prosser, and Jerry and wife, Judy of Vancouver, WA; along with 10 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 58 years, Lois Marie Burton Maddox in 2008; his parents; his brother, Cliff Maddox; and sister, Shirley Lyness.
The funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 5th at 11:00 a.m. at the Paterson Community Church, followed by a luncheon at the home of Jody and Debbie Maddox in Paterson.
