Mildred "Woody" Cooley passed away on May 12. Her struggle with cancer and dementia is over and is now completely healed and with Jesus in Heaven. Survivors include her four children, Sandy Vernon, Debbie (Charles) Hunt, John (Oleta) Vernon, and Scott (Katie) Cooley; sister, Wilma Brazier. Woody has several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill; parents, Joe and Luella Latta; siblings, Ray, Norm, and Joanne.

Woody had many gifts in life and one of her greatest was the love and compassion she consistently showed for others. She touched so many lives and it was awesome just to be in her presence. Woody's love of her family was unconditional, always placing the needs of her family above her own. Woody loved to cook, make cookies, sew, and serve anyone who God placed in her path. She was so full of energy and life - her family and friends will always love her and miss her!

A Celebration of Woody's life will be held on Saturday, May 21, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at Castle Rock Baptist Church, 211 Front Avenue NW, Castle Rock, WA 98611.
