MIKALAE HARDEN
August 23, 1985 ~ July 31, 2018

Mikalae Harden, 32, passed away Tues., July 31st after a motorcycle accident. He was born in Lakewood, WA and grew up in that area until moving to Vancouver, WA in middle school.
"Mik" was always fascinated by cars and machines of all kinds. He had the natural ability to just look at something and know how it worked. We joked that he had a magic touch, because just picking something up made it work again.
Mik was ambitious as well. He started attending Clark College, but decided he would just jump into running a business at 19 and never looked back. He was creative, intelligent, and curious about everything. Mik could pick up any musical instrument and after plucking away at it play you a song in a few minutes.
He had endless hobbies that never seemed to satisfy his curious mind, but kept everyone around him on their toes. Mik was a rock climber, a designer, a surfer, a gamer, a coder, a mechanic, a fabricator, a co-pilot, a dog lover, a business partner, a fiercely devoted friend, and like no one I have ever known. He gave me the confidence to do things I never imagined I would, and he made everyone's life better for having known him.
We met at his business eight years ago, and I knew he was the man I would marry the first time we spoke. We started dating a month after and were engaged within a week. We both knew this was it, this was forever. Mik was the most genuinely kind and loving person I have ever known. When you met him it was like you had known him your whole life, he was just magnetic and generous and one of a kind. I never thought I would meet a man like him, and he became my whole world. It's cruel that he was taken away from us so young, and the world will be a worse place without him in it. I love you Mik, with every bit of myself, I will always love you." ~Your loving wife Christa
Mik is survived by his wife, Christa (Renaud) Harden; his mother, Crystal Clark; his father, Michael Harden; his parents-in-law, Tom and Peggy Renaud; three siblings, Scott Harden, Kimberly Smith and Tracey Bland; Christa's siblings; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial service is planned for 2 p.m., Sun., Aug. 5th at the Kalama Sportsman's Club, Kalama, WA.
