MICHEAL J. PATTERSON

Michael "Mike" J. Patterson, 79, passed away peacefully at home in Washougal, WA with his loved ones beside him on May 2, 2011. He was born on Nov. 17, 1931 in Oconto Falls, WI.
He served in the United States Coast Guard for 25 years.
Mike married Elaine Meyer in 1964 in Juneau, AK.
He retired in 1975 as Chief Quarter Master and they settled in Washougal, WA.
Mike will be remembered for his dedicated love of the Coast Guard, Alaska and Green Bay Packers biggest fan.
He will be greatly missed by all whom crossed his path.
Mike was a selfless servant of his fellow man, woman, child, and neighbor. He was a beloved father, friend, mentor,
hero and a faithful servant and devout son of God.
Mike is survived by his wife of 47 years, Elaine; sons, Mark Meyer of Goldendale, WA, Earl Scott of Washougal; daughter, Joy Scott of Washougal; brother, Jack Patterson of Oconto Falls, WI; grandchildren, Ariel, Dillon and Brittany of Goldendale; three adopted grandchildren, Alexis, Alicia, and Brooke Staples; along with many nieces and nephews which he loved dearly.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ethel and Walter Patterson; and brothers, Neil, Tom and Jim Patterson.
His life will be celebrated during a private service with family and close friends.
Straub's Funeral Home & Columbia River Cremation in Camas is in charge of the arrangements.
