MATTHEW GORDON OLSON
April 7, 1967 ˜ December 19, 2020

Matthew Gordon Olson was born April 7, 1967. On Dec. 19, 2020, at the age of 53, Matt took his final journey to Heaven. He was raised in Vancouver, WA, by his parents, Roger and Barbara Olson. Matt was a supportive and loving brother to Dan & Jennifer, Rodney & Sharon, and sister, Jennifer. He was a fantastic uncle to many nephews and nieces. Later Matt moved to Bothell, WA, where he is survived by his wife, Colleen, and daughter, Emma.
He led a successful career in telecommunications. Matt is best remembered for his charismatic nature and ability to engage with people from all walks of life; performing magic tricks, golfing and socializing.
A celebration of life will take place pending updated COVID-19 restrictions. Reach out to family for further information.

Matt and I were friends for over 30 years. We met in the early days at MCI. I knew Matt from playing football, basketball and golf together as well in business. Matt was someone you wanted in your foxhole. He was a loyal, tenacious and competitive, but all done with class. Matt was always the best dressed in a meeting and warmed the room with his smile but more importantly he cared. He cared about you and your family and how best to serve the needs. Matt was a man of faith and it's reassuring to know we will meet again in Heaven. Matt joins his recently departed co-workers (Gary Weideman and Bob Cooper) and are certain to be having a lot of laughs and good times in Heaven. Praying for Danny and the family along with those whom Matt touched along his journey, you will be missed Matt...

Matt was a natural at how to win over a customer to help close a deal. He was the best Product Manager ever in the crazy early days of Telecom. Many fond memories of Matt, yes, doing those magic tricks to break the ice and always having a joke at the ready. Matt was a coworker and a friend. Colleen, I still say you make the best onion dip I have ever had. Emma, I’ll always remember your old soul eyes when I first met you at a very young age. Here’s to the good memories Matt gave us all.
