"Beloved wife, mother, and grandmother."

Mary Bishop of Vancouver, WA, passed away on Feb. 4, 2011 at her Adult Foster Care home (Young At Heart). She was born on Jan. 24, 1914 to Luther and Clarissa Jane Smith in Deport, TX. She later graduated from high school in El Paso, TX.
Mary was inquisitive. She loved life and living things, taking excellent care of family and pets. She enjoyed music, especially Lawrence Welk and George Straight. Mary's other hobbies include: reading, cooking, painting, sewing, knitting, embroidery and stitchery. She played bridge and did extensive research on family genealogy. She also liked to travel, dance, and English history.
Mary is survived by her daughters, Barbara Wright (Vancouver) and Carol and Gary Veres (Addy, WA); sister, Mary Jane Porter, and her three children; niece, Jo Maxwell, and her two children; nephew, Roy Karstetter, and his children; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Derial; her parents, Luther and Clarissa Jane Smith; sister, Evelyn Karstetter; son-in-law, Lloyd Wright; and grandchild, Kevin Wright.

A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Sat., Feb. 12, 2011 at Evergreen Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
