Oh I will miss the light of down town vancouver! Loved popping in to saw hi, helping with something, and chatting for a while! Loved her garden and her personality! She was so positive about life and had so much energy! Loved going to ballets with her in Portland and Vancouver! She was such an amazing woman and will be greatly missed! So glad I got to say goodbye to her on Tuesday 7/14/15! Loved that vibrant woman!

I will always remember my special times with Margaret; a ballet experience in Portland, St. Luke's Antique Bazaar, a swim in her beautiful pool, freshly baked Plum Tart in the Fall and more.
She had boundless energy for so many things that made our community better. I will miss our friendship.
All of you are in my heart and thoughts during this sad time. Hugs and Love.

Dear Daughters, I'm so sorry to learn of your Mom's passing. I would alway enjoy running into her at the woodland nursery to see what plants she was buying and planting in her yard each year. My prayers are with you and the family. I worked with your Dad Dr. 10 for 30 years. I know your family misses both of them. Mindy Ludolph

Dear Margaret's Family,
I just found out this morning and want you all to know how very, very much my heart is with you all. I will miss Margaret terribly. Her active, generous mind, her curiosity and love of the arts, her wonderful sense of humor and total lack of self indulgence. What a lovely person we have all lost. I will be looking for her at the ballet for a long time. With sympathy and love, Carol Shults

we highly admired Margaret. I used to come to her house years ago for AFS meetings! my daughter, Jennifer, was an exchange student and Margaret was involved in AFS at that time also. I would see Margaret eating alone at our restaurant, Burgerville, in the heights! plus shopping at Grand Central Fred Meyer. she was a smart, kind and nice lady! she will be missed by all.

Holding the Kretschmar daughters and their families in my heart. The courage and fortitude Margaret possessed despite her polio-related challenges will never be fully appreciated by those of us who benefitted from her generosity and hard work. Whether it was raising her beautiful and talented family, entertaining her wide circle of friends, or supporting community development, Margaret gave it her all, never advertising the uphill physical battle she had to overcome to manage it all. She was one strong lady. Rest in peace, Muggles.
