Madeline Meza Janovec passed away on March 4, 2011 from Burkitts Lymphoma at the Ray Hickey House in Vancouver, WA. She was born on Feb 14, 1935 in Los Angeles, CA.
Madeline was the owner of Janovec Studio and Gallery in Portland, OR. She retired as a part-time instructor from Clark Community College in Vancouver, WA and Portland Community College in Portland. Madeline was very active in the Portland Art community.
Madeline is survived by her daughter, Pietra Anna Kaplan; sister and brother-in-law, Stephania Potter and Richard Potter; nephews, Brett Dennis, Jay Boyette, Kaarlo Jonas, Sam Potter and Dan Potter; and her long term friend, Martin Anderson.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Duane Rouse; parents, Joachim "Chuck" and Martha Janovec; sister, Mary Ann Boyette; and brother, Michael Janovec.
