LOIS MARIE PAPENFUSE
December 31, 1926 ~ June 3, 2016
Lois Marie Papenfuse passed away in Vancouver, WA, June 3, 2016 at 89 years old. She was born in Kincaid, Saskatchewan, Canada on Dec. 31, 1926 to Thosten "Tom" and Marie Stenbraaten.
Lois was married to Earl Leslie Papenfuse in July 1950, in Kincaid, Saskatchewan.
She was employed as a teacher, banker, and retired as President of Clark County (Peoples) Community Credit Union.
Lois was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church and served with the local boards for the Lutheran Brotherhood, American Diabetes Association, and YMCA.
She loved to read, greatly enjoyed their beach house and salmon fishing, had a big garden, loved birds, and traveled extensively with Earl in their trailer.
Lois was adventurous, and when her sons and husband took up motorcycle riding and boating, she learned to water ski, and became quite a good motorcycle rider with all her boys and their cousins, aunts, uncles and friends.
Lois is survived by her three sons, Kaare (Barbi), Guy, and Aaron; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her four brothers; her husband, Earl Leslie Papenfuse; and her daughter-in-law, Cindy Bushaw Papenfuse.
A memorial service will be held Fri., June 10, 2016 at 2p.m. at St. John's Lutheran Church.
Memorial donations may be made to St. John's Lutheran Church or the American Diabetes Association.
