LISA DAWN (SMITH) CORTNEY
September 16, 1966 ~ October 24, 2017

Lisa Dawn Cortney, 51, passed away in Vancouver, WA on October 24th, 2017. She was a graduate of Hudson's Bay Class of 1984, and had her Associates Degree in Arts from Clark College Class of 1995. Lisa was born September 16, 1966, in Ventura, California.
Lisa loved to write; she received a third place as a 1995 All American Journalist. She loved politics and enjoyed traveling. She loved her grandchildren and working at the VSAA.
She is survived by her husband, Michael Cortney; her daughter, Crystal Reed; and her two grandchildren, Isabella Rose Reed, and Charlotte Jo Reed, her brother, Ken Garver; her sister-in-law, Justine Magnoni-Garver; her niece, Grace Garver; and her nephew, Jack Garver; her grandmother, Lorna Starr; aunts, Patsy Cooley, Toni Swoyer, Tracy Strohmeyer; uncles, Philip Choate, Dennis Choate, Jeff Wolfe.
A Celebration of Life will be held for her on November 4 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Royal Durst Theatre, 3101 Main St., Vancouver, Washington 98663.
