Leonard "Bud" N. Goodrich, passed away at the Ray Hickey Hospice House in Vancouver, WA, on Feb. 25, 2011. He was born and raised in Snohomish, WA to Harold and Irene (Miller) Goodrich.
Bud joined the Navy at age 17 and served his country in most of the battles in the South Pacific, including Tarawa.
"Backhoe Bud" was a member of International Union of Operating Engineers, Local No. 701 and the N.R.A.
Bud enjoyed rides to the lower river road to watch the geese and count the Falcons and going to Lincoln City at the beach.
Survivors include his daughter, Cindy Byrd; son, Lenny; step-daughter, Sandy Sparks; special niece and caregiver, Patty Caldwell; sister, Betty Janulewicz; brother, Harold; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Evelyn; and nephew, Pete Janulewicz.
At Bud's request, there will be no funeral service.
