Leonard Graham Obituary

LEONARD D. GRAHAM
February 12, 1916 ~ April 25, 2016
"Leonard had a big heart, loved many,
and was loved by all. He will be missed greatly
by all of his family and friends."

Leonard D. Graham, 100, passed away in Vancouver, WA on April 25, 2016. Born in Paloose, WA to Tennie Beasley and Charles Graham, Leonard began his life as a little boy on a farm in Washington. He moved to Saint Johns, OR with his mother, father, sister, and brother where he attended James John Elementary. He supported his family when he was fifteen years old, then served our country in the Army for four years during WWII and earned a purple heart for his bravery.
By trade, Leonard was a businessman, who owned his own upholstery shop, Brookside Draperies and Upholstery, along with his first wife, Muriel. He retired, much to the disappointment of his loyal customers, at the age of 67.
Leonard was a kind, most generous man
who contributed to his community by donating to the Washington Free Health Clinic, the Humane Society, the First Presbyterian Church, and the
Washington State Fish Hatchery.
He loved to golf and was a long time member of the Royal Oaks Golf Club.
Leonard is survived by his wife, Bonnie Graham; grandchildren, Tammy and Johnny; his nieces and nephews, Sherman Graham, Bea Brown (Graham), Leona Liljedahl (Graham), and Jeanette Palo, Ken Behm, Don Behm, Steve Behm, Jerry Behm, and Diane Woodbury (Behm); and many, many great and great-great nieces and nephews.
Leonard's memorial service will be held Friday, April 29, 2016 at the First Presbyterian Church, 4300 Main St. in Vancouver, WA at 2:00 p.m. Reception to follow.

Was just thinking about you the other day wondering how you were....remembering how you came to visit my father after he forgot who he was and couldn't talk...you still came by to share a lunch with him. Praying your legacy carries far past your family.

A very kind and generous man. Each Christmas, Leonard and Bonnie would come in to the Free Clinic of SW WA with a generous donation. That was their gift to each other, as they said they didn't need more "stuff". My thoughts are with you Bonnie and to Leonard's family.
