Obituary

LEE DONALD PINE
May 11, 1947~February 3, 2011

Lee Pine passed away of a heart attack in Vancouver, WA, on Feb. 3rd. Born in Raymond, WA in 1947, one of 7 children born to Francis and Mildred Pine. He spent his childhood in southern CA, moving back to Vancouver in 1961. He graduated from Columbia River H.S. in 1961, enlisted in the Navy in 1965 serving aboard the USS Canopus until his honorable discharge in 1972. Lee married while in the service resulting in three children .
Lee loved baseball and was an avid player and coach for numerous local teams over a 20 year span.
He married for the 2nd time in 1979 to Shirley Rose. Started his business "Lee & Sons Plumbing" in 1981. Lee built his plumbing business over the next 24 years bringing his sons into the business until his retirement in 2005, leaving it to his sons.
Lee is survived by his wife, Shirley Pine, of 34 years; his mother, Mildred of Capitan, NM; his brother, Richard Pine of Brisbane, CA; his sisters, Virginia Martin and Creadith Burns, both of Weatherford, TX, Kaye Reynolds and Sherry Blanchard of Alto, NM and Sabrina Woods of Capitan, NM; his three children, Eric Pine, Casey Pine and wife Audra, both of Vancouver; daughter Stephanie Anderson and husband, Gary of Casselton, ND; step-children, Teri Schultz of Portland, OR and Michelle Calderon of Vancouver; 17 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Lee was a loving and devoted husband and father and loved his family deeply. He was a mountain of a man that was only superseded by the size of his heart. He will be dearly missed.
Please join us to celebrate Lee's life on Sat., Feb 12th at the home of Casey and Audra Pine, 2025 NW Sierra Lane, Camas WA, between 12:00 and 3:00 p.m.
