Kay and I were friends back in the eighties, when we both lived in Tigard. Our sons shared sports together and that is where I met this very warm and fun lady. We lost contact for several years and then we re-connected in "Pub-Links" golf group. I was so glad to see her again and I will surely miss seeing her swing that club. My thoughts and prayers are with the family.

Kay was my cousin. As newcomer to Oregon in the 1970's I got to know her parents, my uncle Frank who rapidly became my favorite uncle, and Marion, who was a most gracious Lady by any definition of the word. Although I did not have the pleasure of seeing Kay often, it was always clear to me that she shared many of her parents wonderful qualities.

Kay was my best friend for over thirty years. We met through our first husbands, survived our respective divorces, partied until we settled down for the second time, and then with great dignity and decorum (if you can believe that) entered our golden years. The only constant during those thirty years was Kay's smile, her love of life and her unfailing support. Our weekly lunches were always the highlight of my work week. As I write this I cannot help but remember the hilarious times shared: chasing mice with a broom at her house in Pine Hollow, catching cable cars in San Francisco, the miles of shelves she lined for me each time I moved, and of course, the Dufur Threshing Bee. My life will always be better for having known her and I will miss her for the rest of my days. My thoughts and prayers are with Bob, Frank, Brett, her 'grand-girls' and her other girls, Maggie and Maize.
