KATHERINE MARIE PAPKE
March 28, 1941 ˜ January 16, 2019
Kathy Papke, 77, of Woodland, WA, passed away after severe injuries she suffered from a fall in November. She passed peacefully in her home with her husband, Jerry of 56 years, by her side.
Kathy was devoted to whatever she set her mind to. She was President of PTA at Hough School in Vancouver, Den mother to Cub Scouts along with selling Tupperware in her earlier years. She enjoyed canning fruits and vegetables, camping, crabbing and the beach. Kathy traveled along with her husband for his work, including Brazil.
Comments her friends are saying...having her for your mother “we lucked out”, terrific lady, had a great spirit, so full of life with that unmistakable laugh, along with “she could show you the door”.
Kathy will be missed greatly by her husband, Jerry; children: Tom Papke, Kelley Heatherman and Jeff Papke; brothers, Chuck and Butch Nadgwick; and numerous grand and great-grandchildren.
There will be a viewing Sunday, January 20th from 12:00-9:00 p.m. and Monday, January 21st 9:00 a.m.-9:00 p.m. at Evergreen Memorial Gardens. A gathering of family and friends will be held at a later date.
