Juanita “Nita” Page was surrounded by her loving family as she passed peacefully in Vancouver, WA. She was 91. Born in El Dorado, OK, to parents Lee and Eunice Sample, Nita grew up and attended school in Medicine Lodge, KS.
She met her high school sweetheart Gordon R. Page in 1943. They married in 1947 in Corpus Christi, TX, where Gordon was stationed in the Navy. Following the Navy service, they resided in Norman, OK, with their new baby Randy. Nita worked there while Gordon attended the University of Oklahoma. In 1953, the family relocated to Portland, OR where daughter, Debbie, was born in 1956. The couple moved to Lewiston, ID in 1974. After Gordon’s retirement, the pair settled in Vancouver, WA, in 1991.
Nita was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, and was revered by a wide circle of friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters.
She is survived by her husband, Gordon; her two children, Randy (Margo) Page of Boise, ID, and Debbie Finders of Tualatin, OR; and six grandchildren, Lindsay (Geoff) Mallow, Stacey (Ryan) Keller, Dana and Jennifer Finders, and Collin and Alyssa Page.
Private interment was at Belcrest Memorial Park in Salem, OR.
In lieu of flowers, donations are suggested to the Humane Society of SW Washington.
