Joyce Wilma Smith, 83, peacefully passed away on Thurs., March 31, 2011 at her home in Vancouver, WA. She was born on Aug. 7, 1927 in Custer, OK to James Harrison and Emma Lydia (Harrell) Collins. A Vancouver resident for the last six years, Joyce was formerly of Modesto, CA.
She worked as a lab technician in the food processing industry, and was a member of the Fourth Plain Church of the Nazarene in Vancouver.
Joyce enjoyed jewelry making, sewing and traveling,
most importantly spending time with her family and friends.
Joyce is survived by her sons, Larry Webb of Checotah, OK, Billy Mundy of Lindsay, OK, and Michael Smith of Hood River, OR; daughters, Sue Antram of Vancouver and Nancy Rust of Vancouver; thirteen grandchildren; twenty-three great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
There will be a graveside service for Joyce on Sat., April 9th at 2:00 p.m. at the Highland Cemetery in Okemah, OK.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in Joyce's honor may be sent to the Fourth Plain Church of the Nazarene, 16807 Northeast Fourth Plain Road, Vancouver, WA 98682.
