Obituary

JOSEPH "JOE" NICK HOOK
January 21, 1962 ~ January 17, 2011
" He touched and helped heal many lives."

Joseph "Joe" Nick Hook of Battle Ground, WA passed away Jan. 17, 2011. He was born in Vancouver, WA to Gwendolyn and Jim Warner.
Joe worked at Southwest Washington Medical Center in the ADAPT program for many years.
Joe enjoyed time spent with family, walks with his wife and pets, watching football and Trailblazer games, and traveling to Hawaii and Disneyland.
This was truly a man who ALWAYS did the right thing. He liked to say he was the voice of reason, and he was. He was loving to all who were near him, and had a very soft spot for animals.
He said the mark of character was consistency.
He personified this. I know the words he would like to leave
for all those who knew and love him are "Be positive".
Joe is survived by his wife of six years, Janice Hook; step-children, Forest Sherer, Stefon Sherer, Heather Sherer and Halie Anders; his grandchildren, Thomas and Colton Anders and Charles and Abigail Sherer; grandmother, Gertrude Taylor; sisters, Niki, Shelly and Mary; and brother, Mike.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Gwendolyn Warner; and his favorite dog, Jube.
Memorial services will be held on Sat., Jan. 22, 2011 at Lad Mark Church, 1504 W. Main St., Battle Ground, WA 98604.
Please make memorial donations to the Humane Society of Vancouver Washington.
