I worked with Jack at Freightliner for over 25 years. He was a well respected and personable colleague and friend. Our friendship started when Jack was a Senior at Vancouver High School when I was a lowly Sophomore, but Jack was friendly and helpful to me when most upper class students wouldn't give you the time of day.

We developed a friendship that continued from then on. At Freightliner, our jobs caused us to perform our functions together at times. We frequently had lunch together with other personnel and we played golf together on various occasions. There was never a time when he wasn't polite, helpful and a pleasure to work with. A genuine first-class individual. He will be missed by all who knew him. We feel somewhat comforted in knowing he will be joining his beloved Pat. Our sincere condolences to his family.

Jack and Patti were friends of mine for many years and I loved their great sense of fun. They visited me in Arizona and California after I moved away from Vancouver. With Jack's passing there is a great void in my life. I cherish the many years of friendship.

We had the honor of living next door to Jack family for many years. He was always
welcoming and couldn't do enough to help
us. We will forever miss that daily
smile and chit-chat. An icon in the
Vancouver community for what he did for
boys football. He was true to the
meaning of--Love thy neighbor. Kelly and

I had the privilege of working with Jack at the Freightliner plant during the time he was assistant plant manager. Such a sweet man whose family he spoke of often. Always looked so handsome in his gray suit with that great warm smile. If you worked in the plant and got called into the office you always hoped it was Larry's day off and you had to deal with Jack! Great memories of all, I am sure he will be missed greatly.

We were blessed to have known Jack and his family for over 46 years. We were neighbors, Jack coached our sons in football, Duane worked with and for Jack, and we were friends. The line in his obituary says it best: "Jack was a generous and selfless, hard-working, dedicated, loving husband, father and friend to many." In the 46 years we knew Jack, we never heard anyone say a bad word about him. He was that good and just a wonderful friend. Our prayers are for the Ryan family.

I was privileged to be a part of his life for many years. He was like a Father to me. He guided me, and shared some of life's lessons with me. I admired him for many reasons, he was generous, and had a gentle spirit, with a kind heart. He loved everyone, and had such a warm smile, and a wonderful laugh. I will always hold him close to my heart. He will be missed incredibly, but I find peace in knowing he is "home" and with Pat for eternity! May God now surround his children and loved ones while they grieve and mourn his passing.
