"Jim had many talents and will be missed immensely."
Jim Rodda of Ridgefield, WA, passed away on Feb. 1, 2011 from a massive stroke.
Jim ran J.R.'s Auto Body and taught auto and body paint at Clark College in the 60's. He was also a volunteer fireman in the 70's.
Jim was a wonderful artist, but he was a farmer first and foremost. He grew the best sweet corn around. He could fix anything, a car, a fence or someone's hurt feelings. He helped anyone, no matter what or where they came from.
He was someone who'd always known and loved you
for all that you are without any need of blinders or "if only's.
Jim left behind a wonderful wife, Penny, of 28+ years; four kids, Lori, Teresa, Mary and Mike; 15 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; three brothers, Melvin, Edward, Stan; niece and nephews; family in Boise, Idaho; and many friends.
The family wishes to thank his niece, Marco, for all the plowing and devoted time she has given us.
A memorial service will be held Friday, Feb. 11, 2011 at 6:00 p.m. at Minnehaha Grange, 4905 NE St. Johns Road.
