James R. Cook, Sr., 75, a local resident of Clark County for 69 years, passed away May 3, 2011.
He served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War (1953 to 1961) on The USS Missouri.
He retired from Nabisco on March 23, 1993.
James is survived by his wife, Annett Cook; brothers, Robert Cook, Bruce Cook, Donald Cook and Danny Cooke; sister, Lois; sons, James Cook, Jr., Leroy Cook, Rick Cook and Michael Cook; 12 grandchildren; and 14 great Grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary A. Cook; parents, Glenn Cooke, Sr. and Leola Ellen Riley; brothers, Glenn Cook, Jr., Jerry Cook and Terry Cook, sisters, Fay, Edna; and grandchild, Keith Cook.
Viewings will be held Thurs., May 12, 12:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and Fri., May 13, 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. A grave service will be on May 14th,1:00 p.m. at Evergreen Memorial Gardens. The Celebration of Life will follow, May 14th, 2:00 p.m. at Brush Prairie Baptist Church located at 11814 NE 11th Ave., Vancouver, WA.
