March 30, 1942 ~ April 16, 2011
"Guy was very outgoing, loved to laugh,
spend time with the grandkids, friends and family.

James "Guy" Archer, 69, a 40-year resident of Vancouver, WA, died Sat., April 16 at Southwest Washington Medical Center from complications due to illness. Guy was born March 30, 1942 to Jim and Lucille Archer in White Salmon, WA and he graduated from Stevenson High School in 1961.
After 25 years of working in the field of commercial refrigeration, Guy went back to school to follow his calling and in 1992 received his Masters in Social Work from Portland State University. He worked as a social worker impacting many lives until his retirement in 2006.
Guy is survived by his daughters, Mary Archer of Mauston, WI and Kirstin Archer of Waukesha, WI; son, Robert Archer of Toutle, WA; and daughter, Terri Archer of Vancouver; 11 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; mother, Lucille Archer of Dallas, OR; sister, Jane Sundberg of Dallas, OR; and former wife, Barbara Archer.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Chuck, in 1981; sister, Julie, in 1995; and father, Jim, in 2000.
