October 20, 1916 ~ April 23, 2011

Born in McMinnville, OR, Emery waited for a cloudless day, perfect to make his last flight to his home in Heaven.
He logged several thousand hours flying as a crop duster and managing the Flight Center on the Pendleton airport. Emery held commercial and instructor ratings in single, multi and helicopter aircraft. He flew charter, search and rescue, fire patrol, game counting, fish planting in high lakes, and instructing. He had many stories to tell, keeping his audience captive, reliving his experiences.
Together with his wife, he owned Emlo's Florist until 1990.
He is survived by his wife and loving companion of sixty-six years, Lois; sons, Mike (Cecile), Paul (Jann), Andrew and daughter Amber; eight grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Margaret, three brothers and a sister.
A memorial celebration will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, April 30, 2011 at Bethel Church, 2309 NW Carty Road, Ridgefield, WA.
