March 3, 1930 ~ October 22, 2017

Uff Da! Ilah Mae was born in Bemidji, Minnesota on March 3, 1930 and passed away peacefully in Phoenix, Arizona on October 22, 2017. She lived through 2 World Wars, black and white TV's, party line telephones, landing on the moon, personal computers, and cell phones.
Ilah Mae selflessly loved and raised her family in Vancouver, Washington; mother to 5, grandmother to 3, great-grandmother to 3, wife, and friend. She was a nurse, school bus driver, seamstress, and caregiver.
Ilah Mae spent many happy years of her retirement in her RV, traveling with the Lone Eagles RV group, seeing the country and basking in the sun. Dancing and board games, especially card games were some of her fondest pastimes. She square-danced and taught line dancing everywhere she went until she could hardly stand. She was a baseball fan, rooting for any Little League team, the Diamondbacks or the Mariners. She loved the water whether swimming, boating, or just on the beach. She had a sweet tooth and always had some candy around. Most of all she loved to smile, always had a quip, and could always see the positive side of things.
She had a huge heart and will be missed by all
who knew her. She is surely dancing with
the angels now…teaching them to line dance.
