IKUKO (ZUKEMURA) WILTON
October 18, 1947 ~ July 23, 2017
Ikuko (Zukemura) Wilton, 69, passed on with her family at her side to be with our heavenly Father on July 23, 2017 in Portland, Oregon. She was born in Naha, Okinawa, Japan on October 18, 1947.
She was married to Mark Wilton in 1972 in Tokyo, Japan while Mark was stationed there with the U.S. Army. After moving to several military bases, they settled in Vancouver, WA where she has lived for the past 25 years. She received an Associate Degree and a Certificate in Addiction Counseling from Clark College and a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Social Work from Eastern Washington University, Vancouver.
Ikuko is survived by her husband of 45 years, Mark Wilton; son, Tomotaka Wilton, Vancouver; daughter, Chiharu Russell, Battle Ground; granddaughter, Emma Haruko Russell, Battle Ground; and three grandsons, Tomonari John-Andrews Wilton, Tomohiro Christian Wilton, and Tomoharu Ethan Wilton all of Tucson, Arizona; one step-granddaughter, Elizabeth Peterson of Tucson, Arizona; one brother, Tomonari Zukemura; one sister, Tomoko Agena in Okinawa, Japan; her mother, Haruko Zukemura, Okinawa, Japan; and many other family members in Okinawa.
She was preceded in death by her father, Chiko Zukemura (99); and one brother, Tomohito Zukemura.
Cremation by Wherity Memorial Services with private interment held later. Memorial Services will be held at the First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ Fellowship), 111 West 19th Street, Vancouver, WA on Saturday, July 29, 2017 at 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Heart Association in Ikuko's name.

I am so sorry for your loss. I was a classmate of Ikuko's at EWU and she was a lovely woman who made us smile every day. She will be missed.
