Howard Bennett, 86, of Seaview, WA, passed away at his home June 24, 2017. He was surrounded by his 5 loving daughters, Pamela Terry, Tammy Davies, Andrea Keeler, Brenda Mendez and Allison Steidtmann. He is survived by 3 sons, Kenneth, Leslie, and Mark Bennett. There are 29 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren. Howard is also survived by his brother, Carrell Bennett; and sisters, Joyce Marsden and Kathleen Allred.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Mary Bennett; and their son, Todd Bennett.
Howard was born on January 4, 1931 in Layton, UT to Willis and Madelein Bennett. During the 1940's they moved to Brush Prairie, WA and purchased a Dairy Farm. Howard and his brother, Carrell went on to run Bennett Valley Farms for over 45 years. He belonged to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. He was a hard worker and showed the meaning of a great work ethic. Howard enjoyed hunting and fishing with his family. He was also an avid sewer, between October 21st, 2016 and the end of January this year, he sewed 52 bathrobes, 2 blankets, 3 shirts, and one 12x10 canvas hunting tent. His love of dogs showed in the many tricks he taught his lil' misfit "Angel".
Please join the Bennett family on Friday, June 30, 2017 at Evergreen Memorial Gardens in Vancouver, WA to celebrate Howard's life journey. Viewing begins at 10a.m. with the funeral service beginning at 12:30. Graveside service directly after funeral. Also, please join the family for a luncheon that will follow at Brush Prairie LDS chapel.
