Burt passed away peacefully at home with his children by his side. He was preceded in death by wife, Wilma Everett and is survived by his children: Richard Petersen of Kenniwick, WA, Peggy Henrich of Vancouver, WA, Steve Everett of Vancouver, WA, Charlott Miller of Roseville, CA, Daren Everett of Roseville, CA, and Renee Everett of Vancouver, WA.

Burt was born in Clatskanie, OR, but grew up in Lyons, Nebraska. He later lived out many years of his life in Washington State, including Olympia, Vancouver and surrounding areas. In his younger years, he was drafted into the U.S. Army and was a Cryptographer during World War II while stationed in India.

Burt became a cosmetologist after the military and then changed careers later in life. He attended the University of Washington to obtain his Pharmacy degree, where he was also valedictorian. He went on to open and operate his own business, known as Everett's 39th St. Drugs in Vancouver, WA.

Burt was a kind, caring, family man. He had a gentle disposition and loved others unconditionally. He enjoyed the simple things in life, including plants, flowers, Big Band music and dancing. He danced two nights a week up until his early 90's.
