GRACE LOUISE ROESLER
September 22, 1918 ~ April 5, 2017
Grace Louise Roesler, 98 years old, of Vancouver, WA, passed away April 5, 2017. She was born Sept. 22, 1918 in Minneapolis, MN to Roy L. and Ethyl M. Sayre.
Grace worked for some time at the Kaiser Shipyards as a welder during WWII.
She later earned her Associates degree from Clark Community College at 50 years old and was employed as a caseworker for WA State Dept. of Social Services.
Grace was a member of Walnut Grove Baptist Church and enjoyed bead jewelry, piano, and quilting.
Survivors include her brother, Leonard Sayre; sons, Richard Long and Robert Long; extended family son, Sovann Lowe; daughters, Joyce Erickson, Janet Johns, Jane Rader, Gloria Dickerman, Linda Prugh, and Nelia Mendonca; 26 grandchildren; 44 great-grandchildren; and 17 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by 2 brothers, 1 sister, 1 daughter, 3 grandchildren, and 1 great-grandchild.
Visitation will be held Sat., April 15, 2017 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Evergreen Memorial Gardens with a memorial service to follow at 3 p.m.
