Florence Marie Stauffer, 93, passed away on Wed., March 2, 2011. She had been residing at Columbia Ridge Assisted Living in Washougal, WA for the past seven years and greatly enjoyed living there where Florence was able to be mobile and independent up until her death. She was born on Aug. 10, 1917 in Mishawaka, IN.
She served in Europe in the Women's Army Corps (WAC) during WW II as an aerial photo interpreter for the U.S. Army Air Corps.
Florence was married to Hiram E. Stauffer, for 52 years, who served in the U.S. Air Force for 30 years and predeceased her in 1997.
Florence is survived by her daughter, Susan A. Stauffer of Vancouver, WA; son, Ronald E. Stauffer and his wife, Vicki of Mineral, VA, and three grandsons, Eric A. Stauffer of Bethesda, MD, Craig A. Stauffer and Darren A. Stauffer of Arlington, VA.
There will be no public services. Interment will be held in Pennsylvania.
Brown's Funeral Home and Cremation Services in Camas has been entrusted with arrangements.
