EVELYN L. CARDER
July 5, 1928 ~ June 29, 2018

Evelyn Carder, 89, of Vancouver, WA passed away peacefully on Friday, June 29, 2018. She was born July 5, 1928 in Rolette County, ND. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ludwig G. Nerpel and Elizabeth P. Schroeder Nerpel; two brothers, Raymond and Lyle Nerpel and one grandson. Evelyn is survived by her husband of 45 years, Paul D. Carder; brother Leon Nerpel; two sons, Marvin and Brad Evans; one granddaughter, one grandson, and four great-grandchildren.
Evelyn taught school in North Dakota before moving to Great Falls, MT where she worked as a bookkeeper for about 10 years. She then moved to Vancouver and worked as an accountant until she retired. It was then that she took up oil painting an quilt making, winning numerous ribbons at the Clark County Fair.
Throughout her life she lived quietly and humbly for the Lord, knowing her true treasures lay with Him and not of this Earth.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the The Alzheimer's Foundation of America.
Services will be held Friday, July 6, 2018, at 12:30 p.m. at Evergreen Memorial Gardens.
