We love you, you will always be remembered. Rest in peace."

Ernest C. Reiberg, Sr., 94, of Vancouver, WA, passed away peacefully Wed., Feb. 23, 2011 with his family by his side. He was born in Chicago, IL to Adolph and Helen (Gnapp) Reiberg Aug. 26, 1916.
In 1942, Uncle Sam called and he enlisted in the Army Air Force. He served in World War II in the European Theatre.
In 1947 he married the love of his life, Marian Seidl in Chicago. Together they came to Washington and he went to work for the SP & S/BNSF Railroad, retiring after 30 years of service.
Ernest enjoyed his cars, bicycles and walking until he was in his 90's. He also enjoyed fishing and camping with his family and watching westerns. He loved Reno bus trips with the Lechtenberg's and road trips to Montana where he spent some time as a teenager. He rarely missed the Veteran's Day Parade at the Vancouver barracks and so proudly wore his military uniform.
Ernest leaves behind his wife, Marian of 64 years; his son, Ernie Jr. (Annie) of Vancouver; his daughter, Helen (Dennis) Shade of Olympia, WA; and his grandson, Blake Reiberg; his relatives in Chicago, New York and Florida; and his dog, Sandy.
Special thanks to the Doctors and staff at SW Family Medicine, SW WA Medical Center, and the Ray Hickey Hospice House. You are angels.
