Cannot express how good a man Ed was. We met when my brother and I were coaching against Ed at Columbia LL. Ed was an outstanding coach and fierce competitor. But when the game was over, win or lose, he was always a friend. Ed had a great love of his family and his friends. He will be missed. Prayers for Dorette and the Rakoz family.

Enjoyed Ed's sense of humor during high school years. Lost contact after we left Vancouver, but from the obit it looks like Ed and family had a full life together. Our hearts go out to the family as they seek to adjust to this time of loss. Be buoyed up and rejoice in the memories you hold dear.

Sincere condolences to Dorette and the families. Ed was a good friend and gentle spirit. Although it has been a long time since seeing Ed, the memories of our side-by-side racing in the late 1960's on Hwy. 14 and the raised dikes of Lower River Road will be forever retained. Ed had a Sunbeam Tiger and I had a Chevelle. The roads were a little less crowded and life was a little simpler. Good memories of a great guy that always had a smile on his face and a firm handshake. My thoughts are with you all.
