Duane L. Mercil, 63, was born on Sept. 10, 1947 in Grand Forks, ND to Elphage and Eleanor Mercil and passed away on March 18, 2011 in Vancouver, WA.
He attended Clark College and served in the U.S. Army until his honorable discharge in 1973.
Duane enjoyed handicrafts, drawing, music, camping and outdoor activities with his family.
Special thanks to NW Cancer Specialists and Hospice Southwest and Ray Hickey Hospice House.
Duane is survived by brothers, Dan (Marlies) Mercil, Jim Mercil; sister, Connie (Joe) Poleo; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Al and Eleanor Mercil.
Private interment at Evergreen Memorial Gardens.
