DOUGLAS MERLE JOHNSTON
January 28, 1948 ~ August 14, 2018
Douglas "Doug" passed away on August 14, 2018 surrounded by family at the Ray Hickey Hospice House in Vancouver, Washington.
Doug grew up in Ridgefield, graduated from Ridgefield High School in 1966 and went on to serve in the Army Reserves. He worked for Clark County for 34 years and retired as the Director of General Services.
He made many dear friends as he pursued various hobbies through the years. His humor, story telling ability and willingness to help others will be missed.
Doug is survived by his mother, Adele Johnston; wife, Sandy; siblings, Molly Miner (Ken), LouAnn Tabor (Jay), Lyle Johnston and Miles Johnston (Lauretta).
Internment will be private. A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date.
Donations may be made to the Ray Hickey Hospice House.
