Douglas B. Gilson, 83, of Washougal, WA, passed away Sept. 12, 2016. He was born in Rhinelander, WI and graduated from Rhinelander High School in 1951.
Douglas spent 4 years in the Air Force and later moved to Camas, WA in 1958.
He graduated from Oregon State University with a B.S. degree in Wildlife Management and worked as a fishery biologist for the Federal Fish & Wildlife Service. He retired in 1988.
Douglas married Janet Newkirk in 1962.
He enjoyed camping, hiking, bird watching, playing Words With Friends, and Cribbage.
Douglas is survived by his wife, Janet; daughters, Becky Gilson (Shannon) and Amy McGee (Mike); granddaughter, Molly Mann (Levi); great-granddaughters, Sara and Hannah; and adopted grandson, AJ Taylor.
At his request, there will be no service.
