DORIS MAY FERGUSON
July 29, 1918 ~ March 31, 2011

Doris May Ferguson of Vancouver, WA, passed away March 31, 2011. She was born in Tarkio, MO to James A. and Ida M. Morley.
Doris loved to paint, crochet, knit, and sew. She was an avid bowler for 45 years and helped start the Clark County Women's Bowling Association. She was always helping other people.
Doris is survived by her two children, Patsy Sleutel and Michael Ferguson; grandchildren, Jennifer Bass, Jon Thomas, Cori Hays, and Drew Ferguson; and great-grandchildren, Spencer, Mason and Chase.
She was preceded in death by husband of 48 years, Verle Ferguson; sisters, Frieda, Mary; and her brother, James.
A memorial service will be held at Evergreen Memorial Gardens, April 8, 2011 at 3:00 p.m. in the Chapel.
Donations may be sent to Leukemia Lymphoma Society.

Mrs. Ferguson was my Girl Scout leader back in the late 1950's. She was a wonder patient leader. I remember doing all kinds of fun things down in her basement and her trying to teach me to light a match. Not sure if she was ever successful or not. She was a great lady.

Doris and my mother (Dorothy Myers) bowled together for many years.Doris was like a second mom to her and we loved her very much. Patsy my family is so sad to hear about her passing. Another angel is looking over us. Gods speed.
