DONALD RAY HANCOCK
May 26, 1939 ~ January 19, 2018
Donald Ray Hancock, 78, of Madison Heights, passed away at the VA Medical Center in Nashville, TN. Born in Marion, VA, Donald grew up in Vancouver, WA where he became an Eagle Scout and graduated from Hudson's Bay High School in 1958.
He proudly served in the U.S.A.F. during the Vietnam War and retired as a Master Sergeant after 23 years.
He obtained his B.S. in Elementary Education at Portland State and retired from Amherst County Schools in 2011.
Donald is survived by his children, Bryan Hancock (Suzanne), Donna Hummel (Joseph), James Hancock (Michele), Paul Hancock (Tina); 21 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and sisters, Judy Oliphant and Barbara Yates.
He was preceded in death by his high school sweetheart and wife of 38 years, Carol Ruth (White) Hancock; and his wife of 11 years, Patricia Ann (Sechrest) Hancock.
He will be buried in Willamette National Cemetery.
The family would like to gratefully acknowledge the doctors, nurses and staff of the VA Hospital in Nashville.
